Where Meetyr's business listings come from.

Some businesses on Meetyr are listings Meetyr added from open data, marked "Not on Meetyr yet". They aren't connected to Meetyr. Their names, kinds, addresses and locations come from the Overture Maps Foundation's Places data (overturemaps.org), which combines:

Data from Microsoft.

Changes Meetyr makes

Meetyr keeps only storefront businesses (no homes, health care, places of worship, schools or government offices), leaves out places marked closed or not confirmed, and tidies or shortens some names. Members' ratings are Meetyr's own, not part of this data. Import areas use state outlines from Overture's Divisions data (© OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License, with data from geoBoundaries and Esri Community Maps contributors, available under CC BY 4.0) and boundaries from the US Census Bureau (public domain).

The Foursquare OS Places dataset (the “Data”) is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0 (the "License"). You may not use, modify, or distribute the Data except in compliance with the License.

if applicable, include prominent notices to the extent you’ve changed the Data.
